iFactorAnalysis is the first comprehensive advanced multivariate statistical package on iOS devices, for performing state-of-the-art exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and principal component analysis (PCA) on datasets of any practical size without a compromise. The app transforms iOS iPhone or iPad device into a valuable research and educational tool for educators, students, researchers and practitioners in almost any discipline from social & behavioural sciences such as sociology and psychology to medical & physical sciences. The app is packed with built-in advanced features, not available on main-stream commercial packages, such as SPSS and SAS. These include advanced factor retention techniques and unprecedented factor analysis interactivity. General Features: • Intuitive user-friendly interface design • Build projects from scratch in the app or import from externally created app project template • Fast, efficient and optimized algorithms for optimum performance • Fully interactive analysis of computed factors or components, thus allowing user to experiment with different options and settings • Extensive textual & graphical output of computations throughout the app Factor Analysis/Principal Component Analysis Features • Built-in advanced factor retention techniques such as Parallel Analysis & MAP • Horn’s parallel analysis (PA), configurable for up to 10,000 random-generated datasets, thus allowing accurate Gaussian Distribution graphs to be generated and studied. • Velicer’s Minimum Average Partials (MAP) • Cattell's Scree plots including PA base lines if PA is performed • Factor Rotation methods including orthogonal rotations such as Varimax, Orthomax, Quartimax and non-orthogonal (oblique) rotations such as direct oblimin • Factor scores methods from Thurstone’s regression method to the advanced Bartlett’s method and the sophisticated Anderson-Rubin method • Feasibility tests, including the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) Sampling Adequacy test and the Bartlett’s Sphericity test • Cronbach’s α (alpha) data consistency test The iFactorAnalysis app is offered in two editions, • The PRO edition, has all the features available with no restrictions. • The LITE edition (FREE), obviously has some restriction.
