Poor zip performance

The basic unzip was not working properly. I had image zip(not even compressed) with 800 images. It's not able to show images more than 250KB. Very slow.Later discovered Goodreader. Am using that now.

How to transfer files to usb pro? There is no option i could see from itunes apps menu to transfer files as it was in previous itunes? Pls help, else its waste of time and money. Thanks Siva
