absolutely disgraceful that this app that i have had for years is all of a sudden locking every single one of my memories behind a paywall, like every other greedy company snapchat doesnt care about its users but simply the money it makes from them. for so long i have taken all my photos and videos on snapchat as an alternative to my phone camera and the fact after so long they have the AUDACITY to make me pay for it without ever having any previous warning that i would soon need to feed into this greedy corperations scheme to trick people into spending money on their app is absolutely uncalled for and unacceptable. the developers of this app have done nothing to better it in a long time, they simply make you pay for everything to trick you and other people into paying up. it is an absolute shame and disgrace that this is what this app, originally a fun communication platform with decoratable avatars (which you also now need to pay for) and filters is now a greedy pay-to enjoy platform. it is a horrible fate this app has come to.

This app is a complete joke. This is my seventh time having an account being locked for “going against their guidelines” although I only use the app for texting and snapping my friends. I am very upset with this as they lock my account and keep “temporarily disabling” my access to make a new one. This always has a heavy impact on me as some may say that I am purely addicted to this app. None of my friends are willing to contact me on other apps unless I get snapchat back which i consider very fake of them. This act of rudeness purely hurts my heart as i didnt expect them to be this way. I would like to appeal to get all eight of my accounts back as i have saved data on all of them. Thankfully today i was able to make myself a new account but unfortunately it got taken away within seconds of texting one of my good friends. I am unsure of what to do as my dependency on this app is very concerning and with every day of not using this app, i feel parts of my personality being ripped apart.. I read through all the guidelines and did not find what possible guidelines i could be going against. I am also unsure of how to contact Snapchat as the “help centre” does not indeed do its job with helping me. If anyone knows how to get an account without getting banned please reach out to the people in need 👊This is not a joke. I need my account/s back. Please. 🙏

Snapchat began as a messaging app. Then it introduced stories, turning it more into a form of social media. This eventually evolved into the discover section. Now I understand Snapchat needs to make money and advertising is one of the best ways to do this, so I understand having a few ads pop up while i tap through my friends’ stories. But I would love if I could disable the Discover section in the app. It is usually filled with mindless content, and always tries to show you items from a story that are most likely to get you to click into it. This often leads to you reading a news story which is weeks or months ago and no longer relevant, or tapping through a story which is really of no interest to you. I have uninstalled facebook and instagram for this reason, I don’t use twitter or threads, and I would love to uninstall snapchat purely because of the Discover section, but unfortunately that’s how most people i know communicate. I love Snapchat for many reasons, and would absolutely give it a 5 star otherwise, but the Discover section just ruins the app completely for me, turning it from a fun and simple messaging app into a mind numbing experience which tries it’s best to keep you from exiting the app.
