Probably the best bang for your buck out of any streaming service I know. For its originals it kind of takes the quality over quantity approach AppleTV has, except I think they do it even better than Apple (Mayor of Kingstown, Landman, Tulsa King). Plus there’s a tremendous backlog of classic TV shows (Cheers, Frasier, original SpongeBob seasons) that keep me returning. Very happy with what I’ve received & if I could only keep 1 streaming service this would be it.

Insufferable user experience

How could it be this bad?? Using this app is excruciating. It’s laid out horribly and is so incredibly glitchy. You also can’t forget the constant stops and breaks and pauses for the video to load (my wifi is very good so I don’t know why it’s so choppy) and the abysmal video quality. I’m not too picky about pixels and visuals and whatnot but the video is so pixelated to the point of annoyance. I got Paramount+ for an easy watching experience of shows I enjoy yet I’ve honestly gotten the complete opposite; a buggy, annoying, frustrating and SLOW service. The icing on the cake is a personal experience I've had with Paramount+. I was on a 4 hour flight and downloaded episodes on Paramount+ to watch for the flight. Then to my dismay, while airborne every single episode I downloaded would not load. It would just “buffer” and not load the episode up. It said the episodes were downloaded and should be playing but they were not. The downloaded videos even took up storage on my phone when I went to check, so they were properly downloaded, it’s just that Paramount+ is such a horrible app that it could simply not play the episodes I had literally downloaded on the app. This whole service is just so excruciatingly slow to use and horrible as a user.

Auto update has left the app unable to stream anything! Last night it worked fine, today all I get is error messages telling me everything I try to play is unavailable because of licensing restrictions in my area. There’s not a single video that I can play now. It is deeply annoying that this faulty update was sent out! I have restarted both the app, and my iPad, but still getting the same error messages.To make the matter worse, the App Support link in the App Store leads to a general support library from where it’s impossible to access technical support for the app itself. I’ve stayed with this service despite the app’s lousy User Interface design. It’s hard to control simple settings like volume and brightness. (I end up having to pause a video and exit into iPad settings to make simple changes.) But this update has really put me off!
