The app is great but the support is lacking

I've been using this app for many years, and things have not always been this way. But lately, whenever I write to support I am getting a generic reply that has no relation to my issue whatsoever. What's worse, the replies always start with "we only offer support to premium users on this channel", which is great and all, but I am a premium user and I said so at the very beginning of my email (based on previous experience, sigh).I currently have no idea how to get actual support for any issue, which is extra sad because it really didn't use to be this way; up to a point support used to be friendly and responsive, and now it's pretty much the opposite of that.

Please make sure you have the default Apple Mail app enabled and go to Day One > Settings > Support > Contact Support. That will launch the Mail app and include the necessary information like your account status, and we will respond as soon as possible. You can also email support@dayoneapp.com from the email address associated with your Premium account. For our Basic users, you can post on forums.dayoneapp.com, and it will be answered by a Happiness Engineer or another community member. We look forward to your message!

I absolutely love this journal … it’s been a life saver . I have MS and chronic pain … and was drawn to journal , and page one turned up. I purposely just put good stuff in it … that way it’s an absolute pleasure to go back on my entries .. it actually highlights all my joys. Even when I can’t go outside I find so much to fill each page because of the multimedia facilities.. it makes an absolutely amazing prayer journal also. And I have challenges like bird of the day, flower of the day , saint of the day, etc where I search online and then add my own pics and videos if I do venture out.. I also add pics and videos sent to me by friends … I simply love this so much . Without being too dramatic … 😂 it has been life changing !

I’ve been using Day One for about five years now. I enjoy writing and keeping track of my days for future reference and this app makes this so easy. It’s very customisable with templates for whatever you want to record. I use it as a note taking app as well. It’s the first app I open in the morning and the last one to close off at night. If you start with it and like it, take the subscription. It’s so worth it.
- Fixed invisible toolbar buttons on iOS 18 in the new journal tab navigation.
- Fixed book checkout getting stuck in a "payment in progress" state.
- Fixed the "Use attachment time?" prompt not appearing when pasting a photo.
- Fixed blank media when dragging and dropping from the Photos app.
- Fixed the Today tab date picker being clipped on iPhone SE and iPad.
