Meet the creator: Bandai Namco created Taiko no Tatsujin in 2001 to bring the classic taiko drum to rhythm games. “We tried flipping a bucket over and playing music on it,” says series veteran Takehito Sasaoka. “For the past 20 years we’ve tried to make people feel comfortable playing to the rhythm of music.”
