In 2053, Earth was invaded by the Void Shadow fleet, and human civilisation was pushed to the brink of extinction. A hero emerged to command the elite Radium Team against the invaders – only to disappear without a trace after the decisive battle. Half a century later, you awaken as that commander in an unfamiliar post-apocalyptic world. Danger lurks everywhere in Warp Knights’ faction-torn city of New Noah, where you’ll lead the Black Shield Team against surviving alien forces and uncover the truth behind the invasion.

Tower defence games typically task you with the protection of your strongholds. Warp Knights bucks this tradition with a more aggressive kind of gameplay. As commander, you possess a unique Warp ability that lets you deploy troops directly into the thick of combat, where they’ll deal maximum damage against your enemy’s line of defence.

Deployment is essentially a matter of stationing your troops behind Cover while ensuring that different ranged units can easily reach the enemy. Since your Warp ability is limited by distance, however, you’ll have to link bases to enable deployment to further, more strategic locations. Attacking from the sides or rear triggers a powerful Flank effect. You can also leverage oil drums and other explosive items on the battlefield to deal damage to nearby units. Trying out different positioning and sequencing is how you’ll develop your battlefield leadership.

Build a versatile, combat-ready squad by recruiting and training characters from seven different classes. Bulwarks are equipped with their own Cover, making them best suited to open, exposed areas. Medics can heal friendly troops and are essential to stabilising a new deployment location. Mid-range Firepowers are most versatile for any battle. Enforcers are cheap to deploy and useful in short bursts. Long-range and high-damage Snipers are best deployed in well-reinforced bases due to their relative fragility. Engineers carry various useful buffs and debuffs that can turn the tide of any battle. And Phantoms can deal decisive damage in the blink of an eye.
