Such a great product from a small team based in Germany. Love their attention to detail and how they craft every single update of the app.Really enjoy using it in all of my devices and literally every project I work on which includes text it goes into ulysses. From University projects, blog posts to tech talks everything find it's way into ulysses.I like how simple and at the same time how powerful it is. It's highly customizable and it just WORKS! Couldn't love it more. It's subscription based, yes. But for an app I use every day it's totally worth it. I wish more people knew what it goes into developing a product like Ulysses. They will be more keen to support such products
They stole my money

I paid for a one time purchase of this app 50 Euros, then six months later, they switched it to subscription model asking 40 Euros per year, and not allowing the users who bought it before to use it, even without access to further updates. They just locked it up, and decided to give us some subscription time for the money we paid as an once in a lifetime purchase, even though I don't agree.When I asked for my money back, they told me that I could get them back only via the Apple Store, but the Apple Store doesn't refund purchases that have been made 6 months ago.I wasted my money and I cannot use the app. If I want to follow the legal way, I have to give even more money and tiime, of which I have neither and that company just feeds on that, keepiing money they took for something they didn't deliver.I don't consider what they did, an app flaw, or a customer support flaw, but pure theft. It's the first time in my life that i feel scammed to that extent.

This app seems to have no purpose to me. Also, too expensive for no reason. On top of that, they charged me for a renewal, even though I had deleted the app many days ago.

We are sorry you feel this way. Given Ulysses' extended set of functionalities, we believe the price of our subscription to be justified. Ulysses offers incredible organizational capabilities, a fully customizable export, an advanced text check, the ability to set writing goals/material sheets, and to publish blogs on all three major platforms—just to name a few. Should pricing be an issue for you: Do you know we do offer a discount for students and academic staff? In order to prevent from getting charged by Apple, you need to cancel your subscription 24h before your trial subscription ends (merely deleting the app is not enough). We opted for a free download with in-app purchases so we can offer a fully-functional trial in the App Store and there is no other way to realize this. A list of available subscription options is also displayed in the app's description (under the heading “Subscriptions“). —Alex
