I've used a range of productivity tools over the many years (includiing a previous version of NotePlan) and finally settled on Bear for Notes and OmniFocus for tasks. However, I had a go with the latest version of NotePlan and I'm hooked. It combines my calendars from Exchange/Outlook, Google and my local mac, it allows me to quickly set up meeting notes (and easily mess with the templates so they suit my job - Stand ups, Sprint Planning, Retros, status calls) and they automatically pull in details from the calendar invite (date, time, title, attendees, agenda). Then during the meetings/ calls you just type some notes, adding an asterix for those you want to automatically turn into tasks. A quick review at the end and bang, you send out the meeting notes and list of actions. Once a day I click on the search filter which automatically finds me the unfinished tasks across my notes and I either mark them off or assign them to future days (just by adding a date) and they get included on that day's daily not. You can link notes by dragging one onto another, so as I create new meeting notes through the day, I just drag the title onto my day note, so I have a list of all the things I did that day, great for an end of day wash up before finishing (work life balance and all that) and it makes timesheets so much easier.
Thank you for your kind review and for taking the time to write one. I’m very glad to hear you enjoy NotePlan. If you have any trouble using the app, or if you have any other questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to let me know directly: hello@noteplan.co. —Eduard
