Code! Learn Swift Version
Ratings & Reviews
It feels like I'm learning a lot more by using this than other systems, because it's actually getting me to write samples rather than just pick options. It does annoy a little with requiring exact matches - obviously a compiler wants the right rules followed for declaring things but the niggle is when you've got the line right but put an extra space before a :, or missed a full stop at the end of a string. However, to counter that there's short videos showing you the full breakdown, and the whole course is under a fiver!
Have just completed the first section and seems to be pretty good. The steps are clearly explained and not too hard to pick up. One note is that my phone keeps trying to enter slanted quotation marks (“) but the app needs straight ones ("). They are made by holding down the quotation mark key until the different variations appear. It’s nice that you know about the charge for the full course before starting so that it doesn’t come as a bad surprise.Just finished level two and the apps going well. Starting to get annoyed that I am forced to rate the app before I can continue on to level 3.
Hello friends?.Please read this report. To my dearest programmer(‘s.)I hope this corresponds finds you well? However some very difficult news to bring youI’m afraid.........! To say .......we have .....ISSUES!This app starts but crashes when:I opened the application read the list 1 to 26then tapped option 1 swift basics this took me to a new page a new list appears 1 to 20 this time before I could read to number 4 on that list the application crashes.iPhone 11 ( however the application still runs if above option is selected ! In time!).Also on my iPad 6gen the application crashes after about 30 seconds in if left idle ( on splash page/ introduction!.).One hopes this is of some use to you?Yours very sincerely a learning human.🤓🤚🏻.
As a 13 year old not knowing any coding languages “Swift” is one of the easiest programming languages out there. This app really shows how to get started with swift with a step by step guide and returns to them bits you’ve just learned to get it stuck in your head. Also it shows you could do anything with swift. Also it doesn’t bore you at all with a lot of humours bits throughout great wee app to teach you the basics of computer programming
Great wee app has really helped me. I've watched a lot of videos which have been good but this app has really brought my learning home. I can learn at my own pace and the information stays in my head lol!!. The only reason it's a 4 is that I would have liked to have seen my responses staying whenever I revisited my completed lessons, but I suppose it gets me thinking about it again and getting me to put my learning into practice. Thanks very much
Good way to learn, it is a good concept, although slightly disingenuous in that app forces you to leave a review first at the end of first section before revealing rest of the course is to be paid for and can't be accessed. I also wish app would have a bit more intelligence and flexibility (It requires text to be exactly the same, e.g. in strings the sentence capitalisation or spacing, or in syntax, the white space, must be exactly the same as the instructors version- even though it wouldn't matter for the compiler)
