We expected something great from the makers of Honkai Impact 3rd, but Genshin Impact has become a true blockbuster of the App Store.

That’s not all the game has to offer. You’ll get to discover the ever-expanding world of Teyvat, which spans lively forests, scorching deserts, haunted islands and bustling cities. There is an abundance of treasures to find, mysteries to uncover and fearsome bosses to defeat.

After selecting your character, you’ll begin your journey in Mondstadt, a region filled with woodlands and beautiful lakes. It’s a big world out there, so it might be a little intimidating to know what to focus on.

We suggest following the main story, called Archon Quests, which you can keep track of in your quest journal. Use this time to get to grips with combat, and pick up every item you can find, from apples and flowers to items dropped from monsters. These will be key to levelling up your characters and crafting items.

Struggling against tricky monsters? To make the most of your team and rack up some serious damage against your foes, try experimenting with their elemental abilities.

Each character holds an elemental power, and switching your characters and combining these attacks causes elemental reactions – such as using ice and water to freeze your opponents. When you’re thinking about what character you’d like to get or level up next, consider how they will work with your existing team.
