It’s a really nice app: the graphic design is nice and contemporary, the functionality is that of a library catalogue plus reading discipline - timer, statistics, etc. I like that it’s not social media like Goodreads. Importing books is easy with scanning ISBN. The calendar is really good idea but you have to remember how you got to it or you’ll never find it again. Also — what if I read more than one book a day? There are features that I miss though or find uncomfortable : no audiobooks are possible; you need to manually finish reading sessions which of course I forget (but then how on earth can that be managed 🧐); there are some bugs in books descriptions - number of pages and suchlike; crucially, no importing or exporting functions. I’d also love someone to offer me a possibility to get all my Kindle library there without adding books one by one. Languages: now only English and unknown:)) — a bit light. But again I think app is very much worth trying and has quite a potential for development.
Hello! Thanks for leaving a review. I’m glad you’re liking my app. In the recent v1.15 (and onwards) I’ve tried to implement some changes based on your feedback. A lot of what you’ve mentioned was possible but a bit hidden away, so I’ve done my best to make Book End easier to use. Reading sessions can easily be manually added for any book, in the details page. The calendar has had interface improvements, and it’s always been possible to visualise multiple books per day, via tapping a date to see more. It’s also possible to export your data, via the in app settings. Sadly some of your other requested features, such as audiobooks, bulk import, kindle sync, improved book data, are really hard to implement as this is an entirely free app. A lot of these features will require me paying to access better book data sources, which isn’t really feasible. But glad to hear you’re liking my app, and if you ever wanted to get in touch, feel free to email me (via in app settings). I welcome all feedback,
