Think on your feet
Clash Royale is a real-time strategy game packed into short, thrilling matches. Your goal? Take out your opponent’s towers before they take out yours. You build a deck of eight cards, including troops, spells and buildings – all fuelled by Elixir, which refills steadily over time.
While easy to pick up, the game rewards deep strategy. Try out different card combinations, upgrade your favourites and outsmart your opponent’s every move.
Try something new
Since launching in 2016, Clash Royale has kept things fresh with regular updates and the addition of lots of cards. New characters, powerful card upgrades called Evolutions and monthly themed seasons keep the game exciting.
You can also use Magic Items to boost progress or grab a Pass Royale for extra rewards. Whether you’re in it for fun or battling every day, the game keeps giving you reasons to come back.
Climb the ranks, get the crown
Some players have taken Clash Royale to gladiatorial levels, competing in The Clash Royale League – the game’s official esports competition. But don’t worry if you’re just starting out. You can dip your toes in with smaller community tournaments and Grassroots events.
Want to aim higher? Try climbing the Path of Legends, the game’s ranked mode. Make it into the top 1,000 and you could qualify for huge tournaments with big prizes, and maybe even a shot at the World Finals. With the right strategy and a good mindset, you might just go from rookie to champion.
