Space monsters are attacking Earth again! Your mission: command the forces to defend the planet. Kaiju Attack 2 inherits the pixelated graphics and puzzle game mechanics of the series’ first instalment, while adding plenty of new content in an all-out clash between humans and aliens.

What we love: Launching grand attacks – and defences – with our troops. Combine icons on the grid to create instruments of war during the Deploy Phase. Then enter Combat Phase to carry out attacks, repairs and charge up secret weapons, all while the kaiju are hard at work attacking your city. To accelerate your future upgrades, keep watch on the balance indicator to monitor your reward values.

Quick tip: Defend the game’s nine cities to earn rewards and resources. Defeat a level-five kaiju in the UK, for example, and you’ll get a deployment time bonus in return. If you sense weakness in your ranks during battle, don’t forget to reach out to General Patton to upgrade your positions and troops. You can also launch more powerful attacks using Dr. Serizawa’s secret weapons.

Meet the creator: Taiwanese indie studio Game Stew has authored more than a dozen games, including the Tower of Fortune series, Castle of White Night and Adventure Pinball. The titles span a range of genres and tend to use a distinctive pixel-graphics format.
