This update features for In-App Authentication capability that will: • Enhance security for your Internet Banking link and App logins. You will be required to set up a primary device for authorisation/rejection of logins, via in-app screen prompts/push notifications. • Safeguard your money by prompting for in-app authorisation/rejection via the primary device, for transactions/requests that currently require an OTP to complete/submit to the bank for processing. Login to the Absa Mobile Banking app on the primary device, to receive the authorisation prompts for logins and transactions made off other devices. Reject logins or transactions that you are not aware of, in the event that you receive prompts for these while logged in. Update your app and activate Mobile In-App authentication under Settings.

QR Pay is here! Fast and convenient payments by scanning or uploading participating merchant QR codes. In addition, we’ve also added the ability to get paid by QR code – for individuals, simply select the account into which you would like to receive payments, generate and share your QR code. Businesses, traders and vendors can register as a merchant, giving you access to additional features like payment notifications and the ability to register cashiers to receive payments on your behalf.

As part of our contactless convenience initiative, we’re thrilled to introduce touch-free QR-based ATM withdrawals. Using your mobile banking app, simply scan the QR code displayed on the ATM screen, select the amount you want to withdraw and take your money!
