Among Us players have been happily hurling Impostors out of the airlock since 2018 – and thanks to frequent content updates and welcome tweaks, this social-deduction phenomenon is still cruising along at light speed.
Here are three reasons we keep coming back for more emergency meetings about sus Crewmates.

Rousing roles
Want to check Crewmates’ vitals to see who’s alive? Vanish into thin air after snuffing out a victim? Or simply make a big ruckus when you’re killed? Randomly assigned roles – such as Scientist, Phantom and Noisemaker – add exciting tactics to every match. If you get knocked out early, you might even become a ghostly Guardian Angel who can shield allies from harm!

Fresh fits
Who would suspect a spaceman in a cuddly panda suit of being a two-faced traitor? Among Us has hundreds of wacky outfits, hats and pets to customise your character’s look, with more added each year. Plus, regular collaborations with other games offer limited-time goodies, such as a courtroom-worthy suit from the Ace Attorney series. No objection!

Terrific twists
The tables are turned in Hide and Seek mode, in which the Impostor’s identity is known from the get-go and Crewmates must frantically complete all their tasks before they’re eliminated. Try it on the tropical Fungle map, where you may find yourself roasting marshmallows around a fire or building sandcastles on the beach – all while anxiously peeking over your shoulder, of course.
