The NOSS Connect app lets residents with intellectual developmental disabilities (IDD) connect with trained monitors at Night Owl Support Systems via video, or text messaging.
Unlike other video communication systems, the NOSS Connect app does not require special knowledge or the acknowledgment of the meeting time. Video calls can be initiated or answered by the resident with IDD.
A less intrusive option is also provided. Monitors can send text messages, with customized answer options to the resident. Tapping on the message queue enables the reading of the question and answers, enabling the resident to respond by selecting the most appropriate answer.
