Summer is here! Plows and Winter Driving Quick Buttons have been replaced with Traffic Speeds and Commercial Driving Quick Buttons. Default layers have been updated for that summer glow and now include Traffic Speeds as a default layer. Don't you worry, the plow layer will return in the fall.

- Added a quick reminder that the delay times provided by Google are estimates. While they’re great for planning, real-world traffic can be unpredictable, so your actual experience on the road might differ slightly from these "best guess" predictions. - No more hide-and-seek with weather stations! Now, when you turn on the Weather Station layer, you’ll see every station across the state of Minnesota at once, whether there is an active alert or not.

We've added inactive (gray) icons to the map and legend to show planned closures, work zones, or restrictions that are currently off-hours. These icons alert you to future conditions that may take effect later in the day or week. When the event is active, the icon will change back to full color.

Winter Layer Updates: We've updated the default winter layers and quick buttons to help you prepare for winter driving. Plow Cameras Return: Our plow cameras are back online, giving you a live look at road conditions.

-The plow camera layer is no longer available during the summer months. but will return in the fall

It's time to switch to Winter Mode & a couple other enhancements: • DEFAULT LAYERS: Updated to be winter-focused and added the "Winter Driving" and "Plows" quick buttons. • SEARCH: Enhanced the search feature to allow more natural language searches, like "Cameras on I-35" or "Closures between Minneapolis and Rochester." • NEW LEGEND ICON: Unverified Google Reports

- New buttons along the bottom of the map that allow users to tap to quickly update the information shown on the map. - Streamlined mobile phone number verification for 511MN text alerts. Users can now enter a code from within the app to verify their number. - Improvements to the "hands-free-eyes-free" feature. Events will be announced within a shorter distance of the user's location if within the Minnesota/St.Paul metro area and farther away if they are outside the metro area. - Added Future Construction layer for users to view reports of upcoming work. - App will also now report future weather warnings issues by the National Weather Service. Previously the app only reported active weather warnings. - Fixed bug that caused Google Traffic layer to not load when app was opened.

We've been listening to your feedback and have another round of usability updates. - Removed the "Where To?" search bar from the main map and moved it to a button on the bottom bar. Tap the Search button to see events along a route, a city, or a trip from point A to point B. - Separated and moved the Legend and Layers to buttons on the bottom bar. Now you can easily view and slide the legend while interacting with the map. - Moved the More button to the top right corner of the map. - Updated the hands-free, eyes-free feature to keep the map centered on your current location while driving.

We have been monitoring feedback in the App Store and have made several updates. More usability improvements are coming very soon! The latest updates include: - Bug fix for an issue that caused the app to freeze for some users. - The addition of +/- buttons on the map to allow users to easily zoom in and out. - Updates to the display of size and weight restrictions to include icons depicting the limit in effect. - Updates to the rest area detail views to display information about the next rest area along the route.

- Changed the default map layers to winter driving and critical disruptions. This change was made to make winter driving and critical events more prominent on the map view and easier to find for users. - Updated the app so that it defaults to the statewide map view when opened (as opposed to zooming close in to the user's location). This improvement was made to allow users to get a better view of statewide conditions.
