Lots of users so very easy to find a game somewhere in the world no matter what time it is where you are. The courses are also pretty good if you are just starting out or looking to brush up on some skills. The game reviews and daily puzzle are hit and miss - sometimes some good tricks or better moves you could have played while other times it’s pretty clear they are not telling you the right move (and the puzzles have no concept of their being multiple good ways to solve the challenge which can be annoying). Another thing that irks me a bit and would be great to see is allowing chat with a player after the game rather than the BS agro chats you get from some players during the game. When I play in person chess, it’s enjoyable to review the game with your opponent after the match and their is often much less bravado then when online players try to chat to you (typically a stupid and premature laughing emoji or ‘bye bye’ before they realize they walked into your trap) during the game, particularly on the speed games.

This is a great app that I use literally everyday. It’s really fun to play against bots and real people as well as a coach. There are premium paid subscriptions but you can do most things freely. The subscriptions just limit your weekly and daily lessons and puzzles and some other features, but you can play against bots and people as much as you like. It’s like an ultimate chess app where you can play, learn, watch, and enjoy chess. I definitely recommend this great app. It uses the appropriate chess rules and is the best out there.Edit: It is still pretty good, it would be great if it wasn’t for the ads. They come every often now and again which is a bit annoying because I enjoys this being one of my only ad free games. Hi developers, please remove the ads as I feel this will improve your app. :) thx

Update on update - this app continues to get worse and worse every day. Their timer is so far off it is unbelievable. 8 seconds remaining on my clock 1.1 opponents (of course they don’t resign because it’s a platform full of players with no etiquette) and somehow they manage to make 8 moves and somehow my 8 seconds evaporates - it’s total nonsense. Someone invent a better app please. This use to be a good app until they kept adding all the non chess related fluffery to try and attract more players UPDATE - the developers replied saying that they have anti cheating measures. But whatever they are using is not working. This gets consistently worse each day. I attempted to Give another go, but it’s beyond a joke now. Work out a way to stop timer cheats and maybe you can have a decent platform again. I love playing the app when it goes right, in particular I love playing bullet chess as a time filler (really helped with quitting smoking as well) . Problem is though that either the timer is faulty on a regular occasion (games where I have 7 seconds left and opposition has 2 seconds left but someone wins on time making 20 moves in 2 seconds) or the opposition are able to Cheat the timer somehow. Either way it’s super frustrating as the game is ruined

omg this is such a great app! I use it every day and the puzzles and lessons definitely help improve tackling bots or my friendsss!!! I use Magnus as my coach cos it makes me feel good as I ‘have a grandmaster as my coach’. The only setback of this app is the limit of puzzles or lessons. I don’t have premium so I can only do a few puzzles daily and one lesson which is kinda annoying. Luckily for my birthday, I will be purchasing the premium so that won’t really be a problem for me but for others who don’t wanna waste money on premium will definitely be ANNNOYING. For those who don’t purchase it maybe let them do a few more puzzles and lessons daily. Other than that, it’s a great app and would definitely recommend for beginners or just anyone ✌️
