WHY BRILLIANT WORKS
- One-on-one learning for all
Private tutoring is the most effective way to learn, but it’s expensive, hard to schedule, and out of reach for most families. Brilliant’s tutor works with you one-on-one, every single day, for a fraction of the cost. No scheduling. No waiting. Just learning.
- Like someone sitting next to you
Brilliant’s tutor can see what’s on your screen and react in real time, from highlighting parts of a problem to creating visualizations that bring hard concepts to life.
- Expert-crafted curriculum
Every course is crafted by our team of human experts from top institutions around the world. And with new and updated courses added every month, there’s always something new to explore.
- Learning that adapts to you
Brilliant’s tutor personalizes your experience in real time, adjusting to your skill level, filling gaps before they become problems, and helping you build confidence as you go.
- Build true problem-solving skills
Brilliant doesn’t give you answers. It guides you through problems and to your own a-ha moments. So while you’re learning, you’re also building critical thinking and analytical skills – and having fun.

I love this app - it’s one of the few I have purchased and it’s worth the cost. I was always reluctant to do further studies as I felt like I wasn’t “smart enough” and on top of that the pressure/cost of attending University/tafe. On Brilliant you can find so many different areas of interest and I found myself learning about things I never would have chosen initially - it’s expanded my knowledge on various topics and it’s really easy to use/follow. I also had an issue with my payment and had such wonderful support from customer service (Kenzie). Thank you for creating such a great learning platform and for employing great people!

Brilliant is really good at teaching things at a high school to uni level. As a high school student, I’ve used brilliant as a way to get ahead in subjects like physics, maths and science. What differs with brilliant vs another service is that brilliant teaches things in a visual way and it helps me grasp topics allot better than any textbook. The only issues I’d say would be that :1.lots of content so you don’t know where to start, going to far ahead may make the work too hard while going too far behind makes the work too easy and there is no specific bench mark to decide where you fit, so I just start courses from the very start to the end, wasting some time as I already understand the content.2. lack of practice questions, if you do it once you cant practice again as the questions will be the same when reviewing. Having some form of maybe ai generated practice questions would be cool and is plausible.3. the pricing, either paying around 100AUD in full for a year or around 30AUD per month if paying monthly. So it’s rather expensive but I still believe it’s worth the subscription.Overall if you have the money and are a visual learner I’d recommend to get brilliant. If you use it daily, it’s worth the investment.
Room for improvement

I was an avid free user when much more content was available that way. Always liked the concept and it seemed like an excellent way to practice and improve my mathematical skills.Decided upon revisiting that the extended content was now paywalled. Still, after much consideration, decided to subscribe for a year, and commit to everyday use. What I have found now, after two months of daily use, is that courses can be rather inconsistent in quality. Courses towards the start of the list tend to explain things well, progress logically and provide adequate practice exercises. Courses lower down the list, looking at you, visual algebra and geometry and measurement, present problems without proper explanation, usually supplying the method after asking the user to guess the answer. In some especially infuriating cases, problems are presented with ambiguous end-points, requirements to solve not being properly asked.Furthermore, after inadequately explaining or exercising such problems, often no follow up practice examples are given, so the lesson is lost. All of this is to say that while I do enjoy Brilliant, the course quality is inconsistent, and badly requires proofreading in a lot of areas. And I would not have subscribed for a year if I’d known of the issues that I’ve detailed here.
